Visualization Specialist: HOK, a global architectural firm, specializes in planning, design and delivery solutions for buildings and communities. Description: Reporting to the Director of the Visualization Lab, a studio-within-a-studio, the successful candidate will provide expert visualizations of HOK San Francisco’s projects. The goal is to improve the ability of designers to test and evaluate projects prior to construction, therefore reducing risk, and effectively communicating design intent. Responsibilities include: Working with project designers to understand design intent of the project and how still images, animations, virtual tours and interactive images might be used; offering ideas for visualization solutions that the designers may not specify or be aware; interacting with project designers during the development of the visualizations to receive input and constructive criticism; archiving all visualization products in a systematic manner for easy accessibility. Requirements: BA/BS/B.F.A in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design, or 4 years of architectural training. Minimum 3 years of experience with 3D modeling, digital rendering, visualization, and simulation in the design and construction environment.
