Architecture in Perspective 24

Program Outline

Fellow Members,

The time is drawing near for this year's convention in Miami Beach and South Beach, FL. We are still working out details but the basic format is set.
We are doing everything we can to keep the costs for the convention package as low as possible in response to the effects of the economy on our businesses. One way we intend to do so is to capitalize on the fact that the convention is sited in such a magnificent location.

The Miami Beach Resort is right on the beach. The retreat which will be at the historic Park Central Hotel: in the South Beach Art Deco District: With so much so close by, we will not need to do much traveling to other locations. Our objective is to provide business related subject matter and a vacation you can write off!

The convention will start off on Wednesday night, October 21st with Registration and the Architecture In Perspective President's Reception, at the resort. We will have a guest speaker as well

David Nobles of Impulse Images is a confirmed presenter. We will also have Erick Thacher, CPA to address issues involving small businesses such as ours along with tips on how to get through this slow economy. He will also be available to answer your questions.

We will have classes that can assist you in acquiring your AIA CEU’s on Thursday and Friday.

There will be a sketch tour.

We are also planning a narrated sightseeing cruise along scenic Biscayne Bay, Miami's spectacular coastal sites and the beautiful downtown Miami skyline, the Port of Miami, Brickell Key, Fisher Island and the celebrity filled islands of Miami Beach known as “Millionaire's Row.”

The AIP 24 Exhibition will be held at The Art Institute of Miami on Friday evening.

Terry Riley, Director of the Miami Art Museum will address the Awards Banquet on Saturday night, also at the resort.
