We have invited Wataru Kawashima and Chris Grubbs to present lectures, and have asked Takenaka Corporation, Nikken Sekkei, CGArchitect, Crystal CG, and other international firms to give presentations. Opening Reception The AIP26 (VAD Exhibition) Opening Reception Party is scheduled to be held at the elegant Akasaka IT Building Members Club. Awards Banquet The Banquet Hall on the 50th floor of Izumi Garden Tower in Roppongi has been reserved for our Silent Auction and AIP26 Banquet Dinner. The spectacular 360-degree view of Tokyo at sunset will be worth the modest $75 per person dinner charge. Kyoto Retreat Regarding our planned visit to the Kyoto State Guest House, we have just received approval directly from Director Mr. Kobayashi of the Cabinet Office. The visit will be accompanied by Mr. Sato of Nikken Sekkei who designed the Guest House and is an official guide. The Kyoto State Guest House provides temporary luxury accommodation for visiting dignitaries, such as US President Obama, and visits by the general public are normally not permitted. According to the official Japanes Website, "The Kyoto State Guest House offers a sense of hospitality based on original Japanese culture which makes it unique. ..." This rare privilege is free of charge to ASAI members.
