Over more than 35 years, Grubbs has been an illustrator, a fine artist, design consultant and teacher. He has been involved with projects such as the Martin Luther King Jr. National Monument in Washington DC and the 2000 Sydney Olympics Public Domain.
He is the recipient of the ASAI's 2005 Hugh Ferriss Memorial Prize.
