Architecture in Perspective 29: Selected Artists Announced

On January 25, Steelcase hosted the American Society of Architectural Illustrators Jury in Dallas for the annual AIP competition now in it's 29th year. Over the course of nine hours, the jury poured over the 344 entries vying for one of the coveted awards including the prestigious Hugh Ferriss Memorial Prize. Witnessing the process firsthand was an enlightening experience. Artist, curator and photographer brought decades of experience to the table which led to in depth discussions on how each juror interpreted the artwork through their own eyes. At the end of the day, the jury had selected all 64 illustrations that will make up the annual exhibition to debut during the annual conference coming to Dallas in October.

After a day of being indoors, the board members were joined by longtime member Sam Ringman on Sunday to explore a few locations around Dallas as potential tour venues for the upcoming conference in October before heading off to their respective airports for the journey home.

Congratulations to each of the selected artists!
